Anaheim’s resort area continues to adapt to the absence of the Anaheim Resort Transit (ART) system, which shut down six months ago without a single operator stepping in to fully replace its extensive network. In response, the Anaheim Resort Campus shuttle system has expanded its service for a second time, now including two additional hotels on its route.
The expanded shuttle service now connects Hotel Lulu and DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Anaheim Resort, alongside existing stops at Hilton Anaheim, Anaheim Marriott, Clarion Hotel Anaheim Resort, Sheraton Park Hotel at the Anaheim Resort, and Courtyard by Marriott Anaheim Resort / Convention Center. Fares for a one-day pass are set at $6 for ages 11 and older, $3.50 for children aged 3 to 10, and $4 for seniors 65 and older. Toddlers aged 2 and under ride free with a paying adult. Three-day passes are available at a minor discount, and online purchases are subject to an additional processing fee. Beyond this expanded service, ten hotels in Garden Grove have initiated their own shuttle service, and other area hotels operate individual or joint shuttles to address transportation needs.
Separately, permits filed with the City of Anaheim indicate that ABC will be filming portions of its annual holiday specials at Disneyland between October 23 and 26. In preparation for these tapings, Sleeping Beauty Castle has already been adorned with snow. While much of the filming is expected to occur after park operating hours, visitors to the resort during these dates may observe celebrity sightings, and areas surrounding filming locations are typically blocked off from the general public.
A long-standing souvenir offering in Frontierland has concluded. The Leather Treaty shop, known for its hand-tooled accessories, has closed, ending the program that provided unique and affordable souvenirs. These items were "apparently not popular enough to justify their storefront space," according to information received. The kiosk where the shop was located now offers a new collection of character keychains and accessories.
For those seeking discounted admission, Costco’s new Disneyland ticket offer has seen significant demand. While some reports indicate difficulty in finding these passes, other stores have received additional allocations. As of press time, the Fullerton warehouse, approximately four miles north of the park, and the La Habra warehouse, about 13 miles north, were noted as having inventory. Interested buyers can check local availability using the Costco app by searching for item number 2113717. Purchasers are advised to secure tickets promptly and make theme park reservations as soon as possible.
In other resort news, the Indiana Jones Adventure attraction is scheduled to reopen this Friday, October 23, following an extended refurbishment. Additionally, all four tiers of Magic Key passes remain available for both new purchases and renewals at this time.
Starting November 27, 2026, a popular Disneyland treat, fresh candy canes, will return on select days. There will be 18 opportunities to obtain these items this year, including two days when they will be released at both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. Further details will be released regarding distribution.
To commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Haunted Mansion Holiday, a new giveaway for Magic Key holders will begin Monday, October 26. A new lenticular card, featuring portraits from the ride, will be available each Monday through November 16, while supplies last. The initial week’s card will include a frame for the collection, with a limit of one frame and one of each card per Magic Key holder. Distribution points include the WonderGround Gallery in Downtown Disney, which offers access for passholders who may be blocked out or unable to secure park reservations, as well as the Disneyana Shop in Disneyland and Kingswell Camera in Disney California Adventure.
Magic Key holders can also take advantage of up to 40% off select Halloween merchandise at participating Disneyland stores, including the World of Disney in Downtown Disney.
Residents and businesses should be aware that large conventions or events can significantly impact traffic and hotel availability in the Anaheim Resort area. Information on these events, including the number of attendees and room nights booked, can be found on the Anaheim/Orange County Visitor and Convention Bureau website. Checking this resource can help plan for potential traffic congestion or hotel room scarcity during peak times.
